Dazed & Confused Magazine Covers

Alongside i-D magazine, Dazed & Confused is another magazine i have regularly referred to as an inspiring style model for its use of graphology and discourse structure on their cover pages. Out of the examples above The XX issue and Korean issue are among my favourites. I think the editing of the images on The XX issue is brilliant and works eloquently in producing a great cover page thats unusual, stylish and suitable to the band and their genre/style of music. The Korean version i love because of the image of the model used on the cover, its striking and quite simply stunning and i feel this alone is enough to draw a reader in without any text being shown on the cover, this simplistic magazine convention i really admire and want to incorporate into my own magazine.
